Apart from the wide variety of courses offered these campuses have exceptionally well qualified faculty, low student teacher ratio (at times 12:1), large well stocked libraries, students clubs and organisations, comfortable residential accommodation, state –of the –art facilities, first rate services and top-of-the-line technical/lab facilities.
Scholarships for international students are available for students with exceptional results. Obtaining a scholarship is competitive and applications must be directly made to each university. Entrance scholarships usually range between $2000 to $3000 (Canadian). If a student performs well in the first year he/she may be eligible for other scholarships.
Some courses are supported by “Cooperative Programmes” (Coop). It is an internship or work placement wherein the students get industry exposure during the course of his/her degree― a combination of classroom education with practical employment experience.
Admission requirements are simple― SAT is not required. Only TOEFL (550-600) or IELTS (band 6.5) is the basic eligibility criteria.
The Indian delegation discovered by the end of the tour that education in the Atlantic Canadian Campuses would ignite in the Indian student a passion for learning, creativity, and intellectual curiosity and inspires him/her to discover his/her full potential and to fully engage in an intensive and rewarding intellectual journey.
